Custom embeds
When you paste a view link into Discord, X, Telegram, Slack, iMessage or any app that reads Open Graph tags, it shows a rich card. You control what that card says in Settings → Embeds.
Every account gets the default style: the file, Uploaded by your username, and the site name with its logo. Custom styles (your own title, description, color and author line) are included on paid plans. If a plan ends, links go back to the default style; your custom settings are kept and come back when you upgrade again.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | Headline of the card. Leave empty to show the file name |
| Description | Text under the title |
| Author | Shown as the author line in Discord-style embeds |
| Site name | Small label above the title |
| Color | The accent stripe on the card |
Placeholders
Use these anywhere in the text fields and they are filled in per file:
{name}— file name{size}— human readable size{dimensions}— e.g. 1920×1080{date}— upload date{views}— view count{type}— Image, Video, Document…{username}— your username
Example description: {type} · {size} · uploaded {date}
Images and video
Image links show the image inline. Video links show a player where the platform supports it (Discord, X) and a thumbnail elsewhere. Clipo also serves oEmbed so platforms that prefer it get the right data.
Websites and blogs
Use the raw link in an <img> or <video> tag:
<img src="https://clipo.do/aB3dE9.png" alt="">
<video src="https://clipo.do/xY7zQ1.mp4" controls></video>
